Me and my girlfriend went late on a Saturday night and surprisingly no wait for a table. Service was prompt as was t h e food. Very good. The cornbread muffins were great. Service was great. Emerson and Shelly were funny and kept on top of everything, they made our night enjoyable. Highly recommend either server.
Went here for breakfast on a Sunday. This place was packed, which is always a good sign. I had the country fried steak. I really enjoyed it. The ratio of breading to meat was good on the steak and the eggs and hash browns were both well done.
This was oi ur first visit to this great family friendly restaurant. We love the atmosphere and it was toddler friendly. Definitely coming back.
If I could give them a 10 I would! My husband said, “everything is as near perfect as it could be.” Our server, Treasure, is well named! She is delightful- knows the menu and as this was our first visit, took us through the entire menu to aid in our selections. She was attentive without interrupting our dining experience. She’s an asset to this establishment, which is already doing so much right! The bussers stand at the edge of the dining rooms just watching for a need to be met. They are efficient, and hustle! Shout out to their excellent training and work ethic. Our food was perfect and arrived piping hot. The fried chicken is worth the extra wait! One of Treasure’s recommendations that we are glad we took. Fried okra and cornbread stuffing finished that plate off nicely. I was undecided on what to order, so Treasure kindly offered to bring me a sample of their red sauce to help me out. It’s great and so I went with the chicken parmesan. The chicken was tender with a crispy coating, the sauce coated the pasta and stayed- a feat some Italian-specialty restaurants miss the mark on. An excellent lunch choice! We both had one of their several soup of the day selections- Chicken Pot Pie Soup. Wowzers! Chock full of chicken in a perfectly thick, vegetable laden, gravy-like soup. Another of Treasure’s recommendations hit right outta the park! We arrived at Gingham’s around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. We were warmly greeted at the door by both hostesses and immediately seated. The flow of guests was steady well past 2pm. But the feel of this restaurant is friendly and the staff so attentive we felt perfectly at home from start to finish. As I looked around the dining room, everyone was relaxed and visiting happily- a true testimony to the excellence of this restaurant. To the locals- how blessed you are to get to enjoy this wonderful family restaurant- take good care of them and support them often. To out of town guests- you don’t want to miss this one! Treat yourself to a delicious meal and ask for Treasure! She’s a gem
This was my first time eating at Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant. I had heard how good the food was. I can now confirm for myself. This food was amazing! We the Guilt-Free Omelette, Turkey & Spinach Omelette, and the Country Fried Steak Omelette, The appetizer sampler with Fried green beans, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, fried avocado wontons, and toasted ravioli. Very good coffee, Mary our server was EXCELLENT! I will return! 10 out of 10 all around!
This was my first time visiting my friends were telling me how amazing this place was so when I visited St Louis I wanted to try it and OMG I was not disappointed the food was so good hot and fresh the service and atmosphere was also great see the photos. I had the fish OMG that was some of the best fish it was hot and steaming and cooked perfectly it could have used a tad bit more seasoning but it wasn't enough to complain about I just added a bit of salt
Always excellent!!! Best Ruben in Missouri hands down! Their hamburger with Swiss on rye is great, too. And their sweet potato fries!!!
Great place for breakfast food any time of day. Great service. If you like Cracker Barrel you will LOVE Gingham’s.
